Has anyone changed the trim around the gear shift

Hi guys. The dealers had to change the centre console part, and they stuffed up the reinstall and fitted a Non M ie missing the M badge. My dealer is 600km away.
Is it simply pop it off and do it.

The big thing I see from that thread is to disconnect the batteries for this change.
