Excuse my ignorance but what are flex joints? And is the stuff that's around it some kind of heat shield?

No problem! That's what the forums are for, my friend.

I attached a pic of the DPs. Flex joints are circled (very grossly).

Also, yes, that looks to be heat shield material around the DPs.

Only matter of time, maybe 6 month or so before company like VRSF makes a set for half the price......maybe 600-700 and takes over the market.

I bought their N54 downpipes for $389 and they're great.

We have not received any information regarding their plans for a CEL solution. From the information we do have this is not something that is currently on their radar.
Guys, any info on gains with these downpipes?

The Gintani ones have some impressive gains.

Unfortunately we do not have any dyno information available. This is the first look at the downpipes and Akrapovic does not plan to release any units to market for at least another 4-6 weeks.

I wonder what the difference is, and how the Gintani pipes can have no CEL and the Akra does?

Things that make you go hmmm

Very nice looking pieces. I spoke to the Akrapovic guys and they said they have no plans to deal with the CEL at this time.
