12.4 from the JB N55 Stage1

Here are some N55 results with the JB N55 Stage1 and AR 4" downpipe. Looks like the larger downpipe is making a big difference. Last time at the track their best was only 12.7@112 with a similar 60' time. Amazing gains.

Mods are JB Stage1 (running +5.5psi), AR 4" downpipe, 91 octane + a can of octane boost. Ran my daily driver setup (Nitto 555Rs / 245/17") and removed the passenger seat to simulate a 150# driver. DA was around 1500-2000' most of the night.

Best in that trim was 12.42@112.9, 2.0 60'.

Encouraged I raised the boost up to +6.5psi and mixed in some race gas. But had all sorts of launching problems. First really bad wheel hop, then really bad wheel spin, then launch mode would not engage. I probably aborted 10 runs. Pathetic.

Finally did a couple runs with launch control off and spun to a best of 12.62@115.80. The MPH is pretty respectable for the mods/track. ET needs work though. Next time I'll bring the drag slicks.

Props to Warren and Craig who both ran personal bests! JB represented!

I'd expect to see a much better 60' on 555R drag radials in a DCT.

I thought that n54 is better for tuning but...

They say the DCT is the drag racers worst enemy. Huge downgrade from the steptronic or even a manual trans.

Who is "they"? On this platform, I highly doubt that. The MT with no LSD is very difficult to launch.

DCT is hell to launch, try launching one your see what he is talking about. Its been said that DCT is not so good for the drag strip.

N55 is shit, that's why all the sport versions 335is, z35is and 1m get the n54 and n55 owners are jelous of n54 owners and that's a fact, sorry to hurt your feelings, yes I'm miserable because I've checked a thread and responded to one of the comments in it lol when n55 traps 120mph on a stock turbo you come back and respond
