So I have 2020 2.16d Gran Coupe and no Carplay. I saw that some variants have a WIFI antenna socket available so they can enable carplay with little money & effort. I checked with one of the coding providers and they said I need head replacement for carplay.

Here is what I gave him;
- my VIN: WBA11AM09M7H00386
- I did esys reading and found these: HU_ENTRYNAV2, HWEL id 000040E7, mainVersion 002, subVersion 001, patch version 005

So can someone confirm I don't have the WIFI socket 100%, shall I just take the head unit out and check if physically? Is there any luck?

If that's not possible; does anyone here know about MMI boxes? or maybe replacing the head unit makes more sense? How do I search for head units that might fit my car?
