Yeah don't tell me that technological advancement has cut that equation to half. I say more marketing even for a light car. Give the same V6 in G20 340i at least to justify that badge. Lower weight means nothing to me, it just scales down the power here.

Pure marketing geniuses.

... And the E30 M3 was a four-banger. Time to check your facts Mr. Boar!

Oh boy, yes we are talking technicalities here, in-line 6 is harder to type than V6. You get the point I am making

E30 is from which year again?

Nineteen.Eighty.Two

It's almost 40 years back, for sure mention it here for discussion but that's way too old automotive technology to consider and justify going so much backwards in term of power and cylinders.

While we are at it, lets also talk about 0-60 time and weight distribution on E30 if we are justifying it as an M car compared to the ones in last decade or more so to the brand new M badged 2 series.

Plenty of people justifying their purchases, there is market so BMW makes it, M235i front wheel dominant drive ——hmm—- I am sure the dead E30s are rolling in their graves/ junkyards

Oh my. That rear quarter view looks like a Corolla and Pontiac Aztec had an abortion. As someone who purchased a new M235i early on for my wife, which wasn't the best looking car at the time, this doesn't appeal to me one bit, and looks might not even make the top 5 reasons why.

Its an ugly thing at the back ain't it. Looks a bit better in person with the black pack though. Drove the M235i, basically drives like a Mini.

Honestly, the only positive is the steering actually has some feel unlike everything else BMW is putting out now. I guess that's the benefit to it being a Mini haha
