car makes electric peep noise..helpp???

so ever since a few days ago, i noticed my car will randomly make a noise like this...almost sounds like the take off sounds before a race ..
beep
beep
beep
beeeeeep !

no lights no nothing comes up just the beeps. comes out of the speakers..NO i dont have parking distance thing. NO i havent set a limiter on my car through the iDrive system for speed. n No its not my music cuz at first i thought it was part of a song but then it happened again n again n again n again...happens both on freeway and regular streets...

any ideas what it can be.?

n no i have no mods engine wise or electrical wise...just my actuator thing (butterlfy flap) in the trunk is unplugged..thats it

nope, not that either it makes it at random times...all those little "features" are turned off in my car through iDrive..

everytime it does it i wana gaass it n go fast lmao i sware it sounds like a timer before a race is going to begin..

It's either the hour notification or a speed limit setting.

mine does something similar when i first get into my car.. i think before i put the key in.. just a beep beep beep beep.. real feint and soft..

Mine does it too, as soon as I get in you can hear some beeps, the are kinda faint though. I always thought it was my C/A communicating with the car. Makes sense, unless you guys don't have C/A

i have ca..but mines is while driving.. dno il double check my setting in idrive
maybe my gf or someone messed around n accidently turned something on.
if not then i guess i ill give my SA a call cuz although it doesnt bother me, its something beeping that means something is occuring, and there never was this before so i dno. il check it out once i get off work.

yeh i think i get this too. its really faint isnt it and really noticeable at idle/standtsill.

i wasnt too sure if it was coming thru my speakers or not and havent really checked as i hate taking my car to the dealer unless i have to.

wonder why its doing that...only appears to be doing it when engine is running? I dont hear it over music tho....

I have the same beep that happens with the engine running (and don't have comfort access). The beep is very very faint so it is not any kind of limiter and occurs haphazardly. I wonder if it has something to do with the bluetooth. If anyone finds out what this is caused by please update this thread.

My car often beeps when driven by a local research institution. I've thought the car electronics could be interacting with the electromagnetic field leaking from the building.

Alright guys.... So after work I got in
My car and checked the setting turned out when my gf borrowed the car she messed with setting accidently I dno how the heck or why she went into time setting g but enabled the beep. So for this week it's ben doing that. I feel like a moron. My gf was like I dno I messed with something. My setting to lock the car doors after driving was disabled as well. So that's what was wrong with mine. For u guys who don't have idrive n are having this issue be it checkd out by dealer u may have the same saetting enabled.

so yours is the Hour notification??? i know what that sounds like and mine definitely isnt that! its an electrnic beep beep beep continuously, faintly in the background. doesnt matter on my location

yea mines was that... i dno i guess i didnt really notice...it starts beeping at like 11:59:56, n beeps for 3 seconds until 12:00.

wierd.. anyway i felt sort of dumb afterwards, but how was i supposed to know someone went in there n changed random settings by accident

i dno what yours is, sounds wierd if its not the hour or anything...i was thinking maybe its your tire pressure? but im sure it would also show a icon thing on ur trip computer..have you double checkd ur limiter/hour settings? maybe you have a case of what i had..lmaooo
