I, too, am awaiting word. I dropped off in Vienna on 8/10. I called BMW on Thursday and was told it was on the water but no details. My CA came back from vacation on Friday and had no other info.

From the day of drop-off to pick-up at the dealer, it was ~6 weeks. For some other areas further away from the port of entry (NY port is about 15 miles from me), it takes up to ~8 weeks. More info on tracking here: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1068361 a

Dropped off in Amsterdam on 8/13, not on a ship yet, no info in BMW's system.
As someone who has done this 4 times, the delivery time to the states is just a bit longer than forever... it sucks. |

I dropped off in Munich on July 20th. Delivery to Pennsylvania. Was on the Tosca which got to port 8/13. I've been on a truck since 8/18. Still waiting for the truck driver to finish test driving it to deliver it to my dealer.

I think you need to:
1. figure out which boat your car is on or going to be on by either asking you CA or calling the 1-800 BMW number. then 2. using the info found on this thread: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=967058 I dropped off in amsterdam and I am doing PCD. It's going to be just about 8 weeks between those 2 times for me. your's should be a little quicker then that depending on how long it takes to get on a boat.

At my dealership, you'd think this was the first SO M3 they had ever seen before. I had slightly higher PDI milage on my car than expected, and when I picked up my CA said "they've all been crowding around your car". OP, use the tracking thread found in this forum....you'll be able to stalk to your heart's content (except when the boat is in the dead zone of the Atlantic)

Also the rumor is BMW ED cars get the highest priority boat assignment because the cars have a definitive owner. Even more so than priority 1 US orders, because those potential owners can still back out of the deal. You should know in a day or two.

Finally got an update on my car (Amsterdam drop off on 8/13), today it showed up on Wallenius Wilhelmsen's tracking, scheduled for the vessel Torino. Should arrive in NYC around 9/9!

Good Now just make sure your car doesn't get the same truck driver as mine. It adds 2-4 weeks total transit time.

I dropped mine off in Zurich on 8 July.
It hit the vehicle delivery center this morning (25 Aug). My ship (tiger) ported last week (8/20) later in the day, then the car was released from the ship the following day. I don't think they work weekends, as from Friday until this morning nothing happened. Then, this morning, it cleared customs and got delivered to the VDC. Now according to the BMW customer relations person I talked to on the phone yesterday; as long as there's no damage there's not much done at the VDC -- just the basics like checking for damage, topping of fluids, making sure its running fine (since it was on the boat so long), etc. He said probably a day, or two at most at the VDC before it's released to the truck... but said it can take a few days to get onto a truck. If I do get onto a truck tomorrow... I'll probably have it Friday/Saturday. Otherwise, it'll likely be next week. That would put me at...9 weeks. As of yesterday we're beginning week 8. I'm expecting to have it sometime towards the end of next week just to keep my mind safe.... the wait sucks. So yeah, 9 weeks, which is longer than the poster above me said, but that's probably because east coast delivery is said to take 2 less weeks than west coast.... which would put him right at 6-7 weeks if everything goes perfectly! LINER RELEASE PORT HUENEME, CA 25-08-2015 08:13:14 DELIVERED FROM PORT HUENEME, CA 25-08-2015 08:00:00 1 CUSTOMS RELEASE PORT HUENEME, CA 25-08-2015 00:00:00 DISCHARGED PORT HUENEME, CA 21-08-2015 15:05:00 1 LOADED ON VESSEL BREMERHAVEN 27-07-2015 18:59:22 1 RECEIVED AT TERMINAL BREMERHAVEN 24-07-2015 10:57:55 1 BOOKED BREMERHAVEN 21-07-2015 00:15:09 1 See: https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url...uickSearchPage Enter the VIN for your Cargo ID. It took about 2 weeks (Jul 21 from Jul 8) for anything to even show up on the site after I dropped it off.
