Extended warranty/protection plans

My vehicle finally arrived at the dealer and I'm sitting down with the finance team to finalize everything later this evening. For those who have already purchased, what should I expect them to sell me? I imagine an extended warranty and some sort of protection plan for wheels and paint.

Also, did you end up buying any of it? Did they go down on price?

Thanks!

Mostly garbage to pick your pocket and pad theirs. I've skipped all these offers on my last 4 bmws without issue.

When I had my M4, I purchased extended warranty. I sold it at 86,000 miles and had no repair history. I got some money back from the warranty money.

I wouldn't buy extended warranty again.

Paint protection and wheel protection plans are total garbage. You have to jump through flaming hoops to get them to pay on them.

I bought extended warranties on both my BMW's and the one on my X3 has already paid for itself with a new turbo and both powered hatch struts replaced and covered. I think I probably wasted the money on my F30. It hasn't needed a repair yet and the warranty goes out 9/21... so there's still time, lol!

Since you're buying new, you might not want to buy the extended warranty unless you plan to keep it past the 4yr/50k.
