New 2GC 220i Missing Features
Just picked up my 2023 220i.
After checking the car over carefully, once home, I found several 'standard' features missing. This is despite them being being present on the BMW Configurator, (UK) as of right now: Rear door ambient decorative light strips. Rear footwell lights. Folding compartment in the instrument panel on the drivers side. On contacting my dealer they stated these have been unavailable on 2GC's since July last year. In which case, I have asked, why are they still in the online brochure / configurator as standard equipment, and what is the proposed solution as I was never made aware these elements had been deleted. Meanwhile, just wondering, does anyone who took a delivery of a 2GC between July last year and now, in the UK, (whichever model) have these features fitted? Thanks. |

Totally agree - and, according to my dealer not even related to any chip shortages, wiring loom supply issues etc so, as you say, just penny pinching.

Sad times with this penny pinching and unfortunately, they will cover their backsides on the website by saying specs are subject to change without notice etc....

Sadly I agree and they'll probably say just that. I guess it will come down to the dealers' ability to exert pressure on BMW and whether they want to retain me as a customer, (having previously purchased 4 new BMW's and 2 new MINI's from them.
