BMW Bulletin: Comfort Access Available / MP3 capability / New Colors

Newest dealer bulletin indicates that comfort access can now be ordered, MP3 capability added to cars with iDrive and the 4 new colors are confirmed. Please see below for bulletin (thanks Silverado).

Does this mean the people with nav already will be able to get something retrofitted(or a software update) to be able to play mp3's...or will you need a new car to play mp3's?

has this gone into effect nationwide; or is it just effective at certain dealerships at this time? i just called bmw westmont in illinois and the service department isnt aware of this update yet.

The ability to play MP3 with NAV should just be through a software upgrade

The european E60 5 Series cars with Business nav got this software upgrade in march this year, and everybody that went in for a softwae upgrade got the ability to play MP3's. ( E60 with Professional NAV are also hoping for a september software upgrade for MP3 )

It is only from the September software upgrade

Comfort Access has nothing to do with the seats, its a option that allows you to unlock/lock and start the car with just having the key in your pocket

Yeah, me too. When will dealers know about this? If I call them and schedule an appointment, will they know what I'm talking about or should I wait until it gets closer???

The factory only recieves this software on the 5th of September

Dealers will only start recieving it after that

Will you be able to see song name/artist name for the mp3 on the iDrive hump? I guess, somebody who does not navi can answer this since they always had mp3 compatibility.
