The new mechanical stalks are still a cost cutting thing. They are way cheaper inside with the plastic parts. Which one you like is about taste, but it's definitely more premium with the self returning stalks. They are more logic to use with the features as parking assist, lane change assist etc., since you donīt have to manually put the stalks back to 0-position.
