Loaner minimum age?

Just curious, but since I own my car, and I come in for service into the dealership I bought my car from, will they deny me the loaner if I'm not 25 like many rental companies? Anyone with experience?

I have picked up a loaner when I was 22 from my dealer without a problem

I used to get one when I was 16 - and they didn't even take a copy of my license. It depends on the dealer, they all have different insurance policies.

u should talk to your salesperson and have them talk to the manager.
im 21 and i got a bmw loaner.

They use your auto insurance for the loaner anyway. If you can buy auto insurance on your own, you'll be able to get the loaner. I was given a BMW loaner every time at the dealer for the service which took more than 2 hours.

I will. I'm on good terms with him and a few other employees at the dealership, so maybe there's a way I'll be able to get it.

Don't mention it and don't bring it up. I've gotten loaners since I was 16, don't make a big deal out of your age and your dealer won't...

I couldnt get a loaner until age 21. The lexus dealer said their policy only insured drivers over age 21. I had to call my mom.

my SA at first wasnt going to let me test drive the car (im 16.) but then he realized that he had no chance of making a sale if he didnt let me. But he said they just took out a policy for people 18+ (at least I belive thats what he said).

I've gotten loaners from an Acura dealer at 20 and BMW dealer at 21. Haven't had any problems yet.

It's when you rent a car you have to be 25 or older.

i remember when i was 19 and had already made and appointment in order to get my loaner. The Serivice consultant was hesistent when he asked my age but since it was agreed upon he couldnt do much. At my dealeship the miminum is 21
