They won't do it under warranty. You have to have a claim for an issue. Mine was stuck on 11.2021 and I legit had some issues with the camera and SW at times and dealer had to request approval to do the upgrade. Once they did the troubleshooting, they found the one time head unit fault and upgraded it to 3.2023. Now I have the issue where it actually downloaded but won't install.

Mine also received alert that version 11/23.50 is ready for installation but I'm afraid it might take away my auto/start feature where I can't disable it using bimmer code; the rest of the coding I can redo.

correct, that was disabled after the 3.2023 update and bimmercode no longer works for the auto start/stop.

2021 M50i, upgraded from 3/2023.xx to 11/2023.50.
Summary:
- do not see/feel any difference;
- engine start under Climarization was disabled, had to go into the menu to enable it;
- most of my bimmercode settings were removed and I had to restore them:
# 5 times turn signal did not change after the upgrade;
# displays dimming settings (i had them because of windows tints) gone and I had to re-apply them;
# small items, like notifications, logos, etc. all went back to default and re-applied;
- the rest of the settings stayed as-is;

What exactly does this one do and how did you set this?

One thing I've noticed now after about 5 attemps, is that the remote start is much, much less likely to turn on the engine.

Previously, every remote start session would turn it on. My last 4 uses did not turn on the engine to heat the cabin. Maybe it could be because ambient temps have been a little bit warmer, but I had never seen this before. I was thinking my remote start was broken as I had previously never seen it fail to start the car.

I was hoping the other way around because back in Jan, we couldn't get the remote start to work due to the low temps. What's the freaking point of having one when it won't even start the car when it's below 0???

its probably your battery charge state. efficient dynamics doesnt charge the battery all the time, only when the engine is overrunning ( car decelerating) if you drive mostly highway with constant throttle, not a lot of charging happens. if the charge state is too low, it wont let you do remote start. i believe the logic is, it needs to account for 2 starts, 1 the remote start, 2 restarting the car if you dont come out to it by the time the 15 minutes is up. if its too low it will conserve the power to ensure you can start it.
in the winter every so often i top up the battery with a charger (car can sit for a week or more without driving)

I got 11/2023.58 version.

remote start disabled by default as another member stated, but I did not have problems starting it. it worked all the time

I saw that some custom settings were wiped out. Have to check what all were impacted

Yeah it finally updated this weekend. My wife got the message when she got home after a short drive. No issues with the update, just had to redo some settings.

I did notice that it now allows all doors to be unlocked if you just use the tailgate button on the key fob. I never recalled that before and always complained about having to also unlock the doors after opening the tailgate. But used it at Costco yesterday and like that update...if it was one haha!

Yes that's what I was saying, but I never noticed that before this update. I don't recall that being a feature in 3.2023 but maybe I missed it.

It has been there much longer than that. I'm confident I had it in the 7.2021 version.

Ok, I'll take your word for it. I honestly don't remember and I routinely go through the settings so I'm more familiar with everything. I get bored on the long drives when the wife constantly naps

I finally got the update 11/2023.50 - updated and installed. I thought maps also get updated as part these updates. Are those included? Or is it like old BMWs where dealership would changer $200 for an update

Maps are not updated. If you have a BMW ConnectivedDrive subscription, they are automatically updated 4 times a year in the background.

Yes I have the subscription till 2026. But my map data is still showing as 2022. I need to figure out what’s wrong.

But then I locked the car for a couple minutes, unlocked it and the issue was gone.

And BTW, I got version 11/2023.50
Just a quick update: I've been using the 11/2023.50 version for 20 days now. No issues whatsoever.

After installation of version 11/23.50 I can't get bimmercode connected to the car using my new Android Samsung and using ENET cable. I think on my older Samsung I was using fixed static IP., neither works now.I have PreLCI 2022 M50i.
Any suggestions?

Confirming this installed perfectly fine on my 2021 40i. Actually installed 2023.3 and then later in the day, 2023.11.50. Neither which had issues downloading or installing.

As others noted, it wiped the BimmerCode stuff I had which was OK as there were a few things I wanted to undo anyway such as the sound profiles and turn signal noise.

If it actually addresses the transfer case studdering that others had in the past, I’ll take that over the option to code off ASS.

I haven’t driven with the neeest release yet but the 2023.3 coming from 2021.11 update definitely smoothed out ASS when coming to a complete stop.

Overall, pretty happy with the car!

Drove today after the .50 update.

ASS is smoother from 2023.3 update. Especially when coming to a stop.

Shifting seems a hair smoother.

No other perceived differences.
