I bought mine out of portland. got $1250 above ED invoice. Very easy process with David. Sent him another person from down here as well who ended up buying from him too.
I've done PCD in the past and its a great experience but it adds a couple of weeks to redelivery. I am going to be in a rental so the extra weeks wait doesn't make sense this time around.

Thanks for all the replies! I've received so much information from your posts and your PMs! BMW forums like this one are way more informative and organized than most other manufacturer enthusiasts.

Side question for those of you who get service in Austin (and I know that some of you have chimed in on this with other dealerships), but do you know if BMW of Austin offers service loaners to folks who didn't purchase through their dealership?

I used to live in L.A. and my local dealership would not guarantee BMW loaners to customers who did not buy through the dealership. They weren't interest in ED at the time so I worked with a dealership up in Santa Barbara instead.

Just curious and thanks again to all of you!

BMW of San Antonio, Josh Barazza, I have sent some other guys from him, too, I would recommend you this guy, although I have seen that some other guys were mentioning BMW of San Antonio and I am sure they sent you to him. Regarding the loaner car, I get it from Houston dealers ( Momentum West) in my case although I haven't bought my car from them and they know what a hell of a deal I got (almost 6k off + base MF).

BMW San Antonio did me a great deal - was the first M4 Convertible for the US Market on ED, Sept 12th, 2014 but absolutely no issues (all biased with BMWNA at the time as it was an Individual order also, which likely helped). Original Sales Manager Rodney Rice was personally involved but I believe he has now retired, and also hooked up with Frank Jiang who is now the Manager of the Mini Sales Dept.

I'm in Austin and planning on a Mar '16 M3 ED. I've seen from these forums that Texas dealerships have a track record of not offering good ED deals relative to other parts of the country. I prefer to work with a local dealership (i.e. BMW of Austin, as Austin is where I reside), but open to any dealership within Texas. I'm going to get all my servicing done at the local dealership and also would like to pick up the car locally as opposed to traveling across the country and put miles and $ toward picking up the car. Question is what have the Texas members of this forum have experienced, especially in regards to ED? Is $1000-$1500 above ED invoice achievable from an in-state dealer or is that a pipe dream? Nearest options I've seen for those types of deals tend to be in SoCal.

Any insight you can share would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

And please if I should be posting this in a different sub-forum or not asking the right questions, let me know. I'm still a relative noob at this. Last time I was trying to get information like this was on my first ED 10 years ago. I was in SoCal at the time and that turned out to be an easy process.
