Looks like sports package to me. Take it hard on an on/off ramp. If it doesn't fly off and flip you several times, then buy it. If it does, well then you'll know it didn't have sports package.

the car has sports package. you can tell by the mirror. the non-sports package will have a bigger side mirror that looks like an "elephant ear".

That's not true, all '07 coupes had the exact same mirrors.

I'm going to say "no" on the Sport Package only because no paddle shifters. Coupes all had the same steering wheel though.

Doesn't matter though, it has sport seats and 197 rims, the only thing you're missing from the true sport pkg on this coupe is the paddle shifters.

I just changed my mind after looking at an '07 brochure. 328 and 328xi doesn't have paddle shifters listed under sport pkg, 335 does.

And since you couldn't order sport seats separately (just 8 way regular ones), and the car has the 197s, I'm going to say it has sport pkg...unless he changed the seats and wheels himself.

False, the sports package has a higher rev limit and its top speed is 150 instead of being cut off at 135. It also has a more pep with an automatic. Haven't drove a manual non sports package.

This is only partly true with sport pkg. If you didn't get 18" wheels, no higher speed limiter.

This car has 18s, so unless he changed his wheels and seats it's probably got the higher speed limiter too.

I have no idea why an automatic car with a speed limiter would feel faster, but my old '07, S.P 6-speed was plenty snotty enough even being able to only go up to 135.

the "elephant ear" test for sports/non-sports package pretty reliable.

since you can modify/add-in most of the options separately: sports seats, paddle shifters, steering wheels, rims, lowered-suspension. I have yet to see one non-sports package car that did the mod on the side-mirrors.

Wrong again. 18" rims came standard with the sports pkge, as did the sports seat . Thats why it is the sports pkge.

All E92's have sport suspension, seats, and steering wheel. It's the M-sport package that's optional.

Yeah, I guess so, I didn't mean to but I speak from experience and I just don't like to see wrong information on here so if someone does a search, they don't think there were 2 different coupe mirrors or rev limiters (different from speed ones) or anything entirely false like that.

I trust you looked it up and it has no sport pkg. Maybe this car ended up being a "one of a kind" non SP with my 197s from my 328 that I didn't want. 197s were supposed to only be avail in SP Just out of curiosity, what "sport equipment" did it say this car had?

Ah, doesn't matter, this is a beautiful car and the only thing missing from SP would be the availability to do 150, and how often do you do that!?

How would you have the sports seats if you don't have the sport package? I don't recall BMW ever offering only the seats without the 18'' wheels and suspension.

This thread got crappy but I couldn't resist correcting the ridiculous statement that dumbo ears = no zsp. Fact of the matter is that EVERY non M 3 series EVER produced after 2009 had larger side mirrors. It has nothing to do whatsoever with sport or non sport. Now, whether they fold or not is typically a function of whether or not the car has zpp.

have you figured out if you have sports package yet? i am curious because if someone is going to spend the money to add all of those sports upgrades individually, especially the seats which would have cost them an arm and a leg by themselves, why wouldnt they just add the whole sports package? does this make sense to anyone else but myself?
