F44 Rear Indicators
Hi all,
Can anyone confirm if the portion of the rear indicators located on the boot should work, I assume they should and they are not just a design element? Anyway, mine don’t seem to! Cheers. |

BMW cheaped out and disabled the inner part of the indicators. Same as on the 1 series.

Wow, that’s some serious cost cutting! But happy it’s not just a fault with mine. Can they be retrofitted? I have seen videos where the full length of the indicator illuminates.

Did they also disable the red portion of the light on the boot lid?
I've seen some pictures where the only part that lights up is the very end of the L shape... |

Nope, but the car has something called showroom mode, where only the outer part of the light functions.

If you turn off dipped headlights and use sidelights, only part of the rear lights illuminate (when stopped, can't confirm if the same when moving) This is in the UK, not sure about other regions
