Drivetrain Malfunction and check engine light

I was getting into the Highway and started to accelerate hard thru 2nd, when it hit 3rd toward 6500rpm the car started hesitating and then the dashboard looked like a Xmas tree.

I have the BMS stage 1 and BMS intake. It's been installed for about 45 days or so.

I pulled over and started the car. It drivers normal but the check engine light is still on. Any ideas??

I'm not sure how to read the codes. I only have the JB stage one. It runs normal and starts up fine.

Check your intake charge pipes going into intercooler first, make sure you didn't split one of them down at the bottom.

Also, once you limp it home, disconnect battery and remove stage 1.. see if it clears.

Not sure on the vert, try opening trunk, there is a panel on the right side of trunk towards rear tail light(passenger side), it opens to expose battery on a coupe.

From a post-

I have had to access mine a few times. It is under the plastic/carpet cover in the passenger-side rear corner of the trunk.

The easiest way to gain access to it is to open the top to about halfway. This way you can access all of the pull tabs that need be removed and then it is just a matter of pulling the piece of plastic/carpet away from the side of the trunk.

While Tony's reccommendation above does help somewhat, you still have to deal with a lot of the top's mechanics being in the way if you only use the trunk access feature that raises the glass out of the way.

Anytime I'm messing with stuff in the engine bay I disconnect the battery. In your case, I would disconnect it while you remove stage 1. Then reconnect it. You either have a Stage 1 issue, an intake issue, Or a legitimate failure of something else. Start with stage 1 and work your way back to stock and see if it clears.

Just shut the car and let it sit for 10-15 mins and see if it clears.

I used to get this a lot when I had the JB4 in my F10.

So I disconnected Battery and removed the JB1, problem is gone. Car runs smooth, but the check engine light remains, any ideas?

It may clear itself, might take some time though...... I would pay the extra cash for a full JB4, then you can read and clear codes.

I've gotten this twice, both times on hard pulls from like 45- 80 then code is thrown. for me all i have to do is pull over shut it off and restart it and its gone. I'm on jb4 map2 always run 93. the last time it came up i had 100 octane in on map7 and yes i do have down pipes. Does anyone know if theres a reason this happens or if this is a sign that were about to spin the crank hub and car goes into limp to prevent that?

Not sure what's causing your issue, however, if you Spin your crank, it's game over, no clearing of code, and possibly no starting of motor. My car went limp and long cranked when it happened.

Correct. After 5-6 starts the CEL should switch off if anything's in line again.
