Oil Leak
Hello, I am completely struggling to figure out what the problem truly is, I've replaced the sparks to upgraded 1 step colder, replaced valve cover seal and also new pcv valve. I have attached images below. I started it after installing everything new and it ran fine until I took it out and within 5 mins it went in complete limp mode and bubbled back up again. If anyone has experienced this and can help PLEEASE DO lol thank you

lol, so called expert doesn't know limp mode typically throws codes?
P114D is postcat, fuel trim, bank 2 lean code if I recall correctly. Could be a number of things, O2 sensors, Injector, exhaust leaks etc Last edited by Saif2018; 07-28-2022 at 05:58 AM.. |

I haven't had any bubbling but my valve cover gasket was leaking, as well as a crack on the Valve cover itself causing leak as Mustafa mentioned previously. |

I'm betting there is a good chance that you pinched the gasket and it's not sealing properly.
And as others have said...scan the car for codes. If it went into limp mode, there is a code.

OK, you mention an issue after 5 minutes of driving, went you have the issues, is the check engine light on? have you scanned it for codes? ( sometimes on a power off and on the Service Engine light will go out, but re-illuminate once the issue occurs again, like VANOS codes if you have a bad vanos solenoid. )
scan the DME, even without a SES light, there may be pending codes stored. as one other has mentioned, can you clarify what you mean by "bubbling"? if when you drive you get bubbling from the gasket, and oil leaks out it could mean the gasket is pinched and not sealing correctly, the torque sequence and full spec was not followed and the seal is leaking, or your replacement PCV is faulty and leaking boost into the crankcase pressurizing it and you are seeing the pressure release point. was the PCV checked prior to installation by blowing through it to verify it seals when under boost? the more information you give us the more we can help you figure out the problem. |
