I found a good spot for Hupe Optik in Maryland

I just recently got my Huper Optik 45% tint done and it looks great. I have a Space Grey 2008 550i which looks good with the 45%. I didn't want anything darker because I have a black interior and the 45% gives it a classy look.

There are only 4 HO dealers in Maryland. I contacted three in total and was not happy with two of them. One person quoted me 700 fing dollars. What crack pipe were they smoking.

The second said they were not tinting cars right now. WTF!!!!

I paid 450 at Performance Window Tinting in Columbia MD. They took about an hour and 20 mins to do the job.

How does the pic post work? I am used to forums where you just browse your hard drive and load. It looks like the program is different on here.

^^ Click on "Go Advanced" and use the button that looks like a red plus sign. Then you can browse your HD and add photos.

Looks like I have to resize them. I will try and find a program tomorrow and post them.

Ok hopefully these worked ok. These were taken the evening that I got the tint done which was several weeks ago. Since then the film has cured and the windows have even darkened a little more. It has a very classy look to it and is actually a little darker than it looks in the pics.

Looks good. Did you happen to scope out the other automotive services there, such as detailing?

Looks good, but I happen to like my Formula One Pinnacle a little better. Its a 'blacker' tint at the same percentages...

Per our tradition, I will go off topic here... kind of...

Anyone know how to remove a big bubble from my window tint?

Indeed - looks good, JcFlys!

I was looking all over for an HO installer when I got my tint done. I ended up getting 35% F1 Pinnacle from LA Tint instead and am very pleased with my choice, but I also like how the HO looks.

get some soapy water, and a rubber putty knife or something like that... clean the film and the edge of the blade you use. Push the bubble towards the edge.

just make sure whatever you use to push the bubble will not scratch the film...

Japac they have a ton of other services there. They do detailing, clear bra, dent removal, leather repair and a few other things. I already had a clear bra and I do all of my own detailing so I didn't use them for these services. If business is any indication of their service level then I would say they are doing good. They were tinting several other cars and detailing a couple during the time I was there. They do seem to get a lot of business. If you use them ask for Clayton. He is the guy I dealt with and seems to be the manager.

I am going to take some more pics today and see if the look has changed compaired to the first pics I posted.

Very nice. It looks like it cured nicely. I still go crazy looking at all my bubbles from my recent tint install...
