Oh snap, these BMW Carbon Compound wheels are dope! Classy, aggressive and not a bit trashy (always a risk when Carbon fiber is involved).
I have to give BMW a lot of credit, they've developed, and co-developed, some sweet wheels over the years and these do not disappoint. |

Like the idea, probably (definitely) expensive as fuck. Plus id prefer to see carbon tech size 18 inch wheels for ultimate un sprung weight reduction but those breaks look mighty big. Can't wait till carbon wheels is a norm.

I can't help but think about the forum members arguing that the lighter weight of carbon brakes makes no difference.

I think I'm the only one that finds these wheels hideous.... remind me a little of like a 90's celica wheel. the outer wheel well looks cool, but those spokes are horrendous

Not the popular opinion on this forum, but I totally agree.

Car and Driver has a nice writeup and test of the CF wheels on the Mustang GT350R.
A front wheel costs $3433 and a rear $4053. These are full CF so presumably cost more to manufacture than the BMW version (but BMW adds an //M logo which we know is very expensive logo to manufacture). More importantly, I was really surprised by what a huge difference they make in performance. I generally think of lighter wheels having ride and handling benefits, but the CF wheels had a big impact on straightline performance vs the stock GT350 aluminum wheels. Weight comparison: CF+tire front is 46lb vs 61lb, CF+tire rear is 47lb vs 61lb C&D tested the GT350R with the CF and aluminum wheels: 30-50mph top gear, 0.9s faster 50-70mph top gear, 0.8s faster 30-130mph 4th gear, 1.2s faster There's obviously a bigger difference in weight per corner vs the BMW wheel, though. |

I guess because BMW nailed it with the 437M wheels they're just like eff it we don't have to make anything good looking ever again.
Seriously love the tech and the fact they are implementing the carbon wheel, but it's another no thank you for me. This wheel and the "666" ZCP wheel literally make me do this |

The weight reduction of the CCB does make a difference, but it is marginal. The vast majority of drivers are not able to feel the difference. The same can be said for those wheels.

I'm probably in the minority but I don't like them. I like the exposed CF barrel but the spokes would look sooooo much better without the black surrounds. But then I also happen to think the 666 wheels look pretty great, so to each their own.
