Zoeb from www.wheeldude.com dyno'd his (and that was what Shiv posted, it wasn't from his own car)
I was going to dyno mine last week, but 100 degrees is just too hot to spend time in a dyno cell. Look for some results next week. |

I would like to see some from cars that customers dyno. It is not that I dont trust shiv, it is just that not many people have been able to match his numbers....ever |

Well, it was Zoeb's car, though. Are you saying that Shiv did something different with his car? I've dyno'd a few times on that same dyno with other cars, and without Shiv, and it seems to read the same as the other dynojets in the area. (My supercharged e36 M3 made 311rwhp there and 308rwhp at Dynospot racing later)

Shiv is gonna be there when I dyno, but we're not going to do anything special (fool the dyno airtemp sensor, or anything else shady) I'm running the Stage 0 map straight off the Vishnu forums. Hopefully, mine will be considered valid

When I ge the V3...I mean...If I get the V3, I'll dyno it on the same exact dyno that I've done all my dyno runs.
I'm very excited to run the new V3 but nobody is returning my messages to get one. I thought I had some status, but I guess not.

I dyno'd the same numbers as TTurbobullet did with his Attache DP/FMIC map... and I am far away from NJ thats for sure. I am only posting 14.94 lbs of boost. But I think the reason for the differences in his Dynos and everyone elses is the tq settings..

You should not need status to get just a reply from a phone call. Hence why I no longer run Proceed or Helix.

for what it's worth, Zoeb's dyno was done on a 3rd party dyno... not on the dyno shiv has always used.

Unless you can keep intake temp withing 10-15deg C of ambient on the dyno (need a pretty good fan), the dyno numbers aren't going to be representative of the power you make on the road. I'm writing up a dyno testing guide for those who want to dyno there car. Since v3 adjusts for boost and timing with respect to intake charge temp, you will typically see less boost and more ignition retard on the dyno than you do on the street. All this can be captured through datalogging, btw. So you can see it for yourself.
This, btw, is also the reason that cars that have upgraded FMICs will automatically make more power with v3. Shiv |
