Just put in the order for my first try at a 5 series after having M3's, 330i, X3M, 440i, etc.



The Spec:
Phytonic Blue on Mocha Nappa
MSport Package
MSport Pro Package
Premium Package
Shadowline Package
Luxury Seating Package
Heated Steering Wheel
M Performance Exhaust Port Installed

The car just entered 150 status today a few days after putting in the order. I'll document my order progress here.

You're about 2 weeks away from body assembly beginning. From body assembly to a complete and ready to ship car should be 3-4 days. Once in a while things don't go as planned and production takes longer. Be hopeful, but also be prepared for delays. Good luck.

Thank you! I know the rodeo, hah, my last 330i order took way longer than expected. Frankly, it doesn't matter how long it takes, I kind of even hope it's a little delayed, I have a Macan to drive in the meantime, so I don't need this quickly.

Reason you bought a loaded 530i vs a lighter optioned 540i? That seems like a $70k+ build. I am debating myself what to get next after my 540i lease comes up. Clock ticking for g30 EOP.

Price, that’s all. I’d rather have a loaded 530 and throw a light tune on it like Dinan Stage 1. I could afford the 540, even loaded how I want it, but honestly if I wanted a fast car I’d get another M3. My 330i with Dinan Stage 1 has been perfect for my needs, so I’m sure I’ll be happy with the 530i as well.

It’s 72k with the MPE.

Sounds like a plan, 530i is quite a capable car and all the 5 series build and interior goodies, good tip on Dinan!

This order is moving along quickly. I'm already at 190 and in transit to the port!

Yes once they start building it it whizzes past. The hard but now is the transportation of it.
Mine sat at the dock for about a week and a half whilst it waited for the next scheduled ship to bring it across. So don’t be surprised if you see it sitting at the docks for a while.

Quite a rare colour inthink, don’t recall see many at all at least where I am.

You’ll be getting one of the last g30 being made. I know they stop production of the 550 in April and presumably everything else I think has until June I think when it stop ands the factory gears up for g60
