rocks getting stuck in barrel of the rim

anyone else have rocks actually embedded in their rims? I've noticed the last couple times I washed my car that there's rocks stuck in the rim itself.

these are all little rocks stuck in the rim. some I can work at with my finger and get them off but some are really embedded in there and they're not coming off without damaging the wheel

Wow, does the finish of those wheels really deteriorate that badly?

I just washed them yesterday, but there's brake dust on them again already

I dont think that is the wheel well, but the actual rim itself. It is hard for me to see the rock but is it embedded in the metal?

Oh man. I wouldn't think that the metal would be so soft.

yeah I've noticed this the last couple times I've washed the car. if I'm the only person having this issue is think it's pretty weird. all 4 rims have this. so it would be one thing if only one rim had this, I could chalk it up to a bad rim or something. but since it's all of them I'd think this is just how they are. so it would be weird if I was the only person that this happens to.

Are you sure that these aren't big chunks of brake dust?

Are they actually leaving divots in the wheel when removed?

I've had my car for just over a year now and my wheels look as good as the day I picked her up... Are you driving in a snowy or very rocky environment cos that damage is not normal IMO

Yep, that's better. In no way trying to be critical, but are you positive they are rocks?

OP...maybe during your daily drive tomorrow take note of the driving surfaces. I clean my wheels twice a month with a wheel brush, shampoo, and Poor Boys wheel cleaner when the dust is thick. I have never encountered this issue.

The embedded rocks/gravel does not appear to be a common issue amongst F8x owners.
