Alarm lights not flashing & no chirp

Hi

My mums F40 118 has mysteriously stopped flashing the indicators and chirping when she locks & unlocks it. In the Idrive settings the option is still there but it won’t let me tick the boxes.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance & happy Christmas.

Nige.

Thank you! I've had the exact same issue since i did the update a few weeks ago. No idea how to fix it. i even tested the alarm and it works ok.

Have you tried re-booting iDrive, or refreshing the Apps?

To re-boot the iDrive, you need to hold the Power/Volume off button for 30seconds. It will then switch off, and you'll need to press the button again to turn it back on.

To refresh the apps, click on 'Apps' on the left hand side of the home screen, ensure 'Installed Apps' is highlighted, then press the 'Option' key on the centre console, click 'Update Apps & Services', wait a few seconds and you're done.

Hopefully doing one or other of these will fix the issue!

Quick update: the issue was resolved, seemingly on its own. i did not have to make a reboot of iDrive or the apps.
