M135i westfalia detachable towbar installed
So I finally got a towbar installed. Planning to tow my bike to and from the track.
First impressions is that the rear suspension feels a lot more settled while driving due to the extra weight 23kg total. (The stock rear muffler felt quite heavy but that's now been replaced with a y pipe) |

Have I read this right, have you done a rear muffler delete to fit the towbar? I was wanting to fit a towbar to carry my ebime around but se its not listed for the m135i f40

That was my initial thought that the tow bar would not fit so I did the muffler delete also because I wanted the enhanced sound of the exhaust

The exhaust did make a huge difference to the sound I did an axle back exhaust which shouldn't affect the warranty I have done a few video clips if you want to listen to the sound on Instagram you can find me @bmw_dr1vr

Here are a couple of pics of me towing the bikes. The location was 4 hours drive to the great apline road in Melbourne. The rear doesn't sag too much which was my concern. I could clear all bumps along the way too.
