Just like to say Hello.
Currently driving Audi S3 Saloon 2018 and this will be my first BMW.
So after 2 months of watching nearly every YouTube video's and test drives I finally place my order for the following:

BMW F44 M235i XDrive Gran Coupe
Storm Bay
Black Dakota Leather
M235i Plus pack with 19"552M Double-spoke alloy wheels
Technology pack
Comfort pack 2
Panoramic Sunroof
Driving Assistant Pack

Dealer fitted: Gloss Black Grill, Canards and side Mirrors

Delivery date is Week 49!

I’m also from the Uk, Due to get my 235 in a couple of weeks ,how much did they charge you for the Dealer fitted: Gloss Black Grill, Canards and side Mirrors
Do you have the part numbers,

So glad you've come to the BMW side.

You will see the new 2 GC has caused quite a lot of controversy and you will see vastly different opinions among the crowds but in all honesty you've made a good choice.

If it ticks the boxes for you then you've selected the right one. Look forward to seeing some pics when you take delivery.

As Avian says there are a lot of opinions on this car and at one point it had me concerned that I'd made a huge mistake in ordering my 218i GC.

All those concerns were put to rest when I picked up the car last week. Storm Bay is a great colour and all my friends and family have commented on how good it looks. The car itself is at least in my view stunning to look at and on more than one occasion I've noticed people turning to look at it as I drive past (could be a good or bad reason for that!). The interior is a lovely place to be and the panoramic roof is just great to let that extra bit of light and air into the cabin.

It was a long wait for my car, ordered it in March (UK) so roughly 5 months but I have to say it was well worth the wait.

Must admit when I first saw the car in the press I loved it.

Then all the comments came from Youtube, Forums etc.... and I did put me off bit. so I started to look at the M135i instead. But after last week when I went to see the 2 cars side by side I knew I wanted the GC. The front end of the car looks amazing in my view. Yes the back is different but I thinking's a good way. I'm sure the more I look at it the more it will grow on me.

The reason for the contorversy is not only the looks, the FWD thing was contained and restricted to the active tourers and small sized X1. But now it doubles its production footprint with the 1 and the 2.

No need to explain that BMW almost equals to RWD and not in the least because they brainwashed/learned us for 40 years in almost every advert that RWD is the only way to keep the car balanced and its behaviour clean by splitting the acceleration forces from the directional/steering forces. From vehicle dynamics point of view, that is totally logical.

I don't doubt that the M235i is a splendind FWD biased car, but than again, the Audi S3 also is, or the VW T-Roc R, of the Golf GTi, or the Hyundai i30N, or the civic R-type, ..... (endless list)...

Was about to order in the UK - looking for a little help :-)

Really hard to work out from the specs if the Adaptive Icon LED Lights in the Technology Pack includes the BMW selective beam - matrix type lights?

Also - with dealers closed in the UK at the moment and probably going to order without ever driving what is front seat travel / driver legroom like? Downsizing from an E-Class and worried about it being a bit tight (not worried about the rear space.)

Yes from what i can understand is BMW Adaptive Icon LED Lights are like Audi's Matrix or Mercedes Multi beams LED.

I've not got my car yet. It's currently at a port in Germany waiting for a ship to UK.
It's never going to have the room like your E-Class, but The demo I drove I think the front space as more than enough room. I had the car for the whole day and I found it really comfortable and I'm a average size person.

I just upload my pictures directly from my iPhone mate on the Bimmerpost app.

Not sure about websites etc.

Love what you done with your wheels, looks miles better and it goes well with the black bits.
Have the got your Spoiler done as well? I have and think look lot better.

Aye mate got the wheels done and kept the diamond cut, felt like a bit of a risk but when I saw them painted I knew they were gonna look good.

Aye got the spoiler black aswell mate, goes a lot better with the back of the car I think 😁

Never actually thought about changing the exhaust tips to black, curious to see what that would look like
