OEM Wheels
Control one : I just did a quick search on the web and it looks like your OEM wheels are style 185. The offset is 34 thus the same as ours but the inside is probably shapped differently. As a curiousity, did you buy your spacers in Canada? Price ? Source of supply? Will advise this forum if I get a TC light with my new car in December.

I got the spacers from BMS along with my intake, shipping was reasonable to Canada. |

I've reset it, but it seems to me we have the sensors, not a system that reads axle deflection, so the light will be on all winter. |

TPMS
For your information there are two types of TPMS: direct and indirect. USA has the direct type mandated since the Firestone fiasco in the 90s. This system has individual sensors in each tires. Canada is using an indirect system. Indirect TPMS do not use physical pressure sensors but measure air pressures by monitoring individual wheel rotational speeds and other signals available outside of the tire itself. Indirect TPMS systems are based on the principle that under-inflated tires have a slightly smaller diameter (and hence higher angular velocity) than a correctly inflated one. These differences are measurable through the speed sensors of ABS/ESC systems. Thus, Canadians save $600 on a wheel package without sensors in each tire.

Correct, I only have the FTM (Flat Tire Monitor), not the TPMS system even though I have the tech package.
That means that there were no issues at all putting these wheels on, I actually didn't even have to reset the FTM either as I haven't gotten any errors to date. |

Just installed my winter boots on OEM style 159. Tight fit but they work. Had no problem with FTM. Did not have to perform a reset and no lights came on. I am happy.
