Can I get 2? BMW Owner's Club were having a raffle for a M5 back in September.

My buddy's M5 should be arriving around the same time as my 3er. He was complaining to my wife the other day that his wife wouldn't let him get all the toys he wanted on his car and that he was jealous of the toys I got on mine.

The poor guy. I feel soooo bad for him. I mean, can you imagine not even having your first M5 until the age of 35 and then not being able to get every option on it that you want?

Sounds like fair market value, aka price gouging.

Too rich for my blood at $87,500 - but I might try to arrange a test drive.

EDIT: I know this is way and will be moved... that's cool.
If you're talking about Otto's on 202, I think they already had a Sepang Bronze M5 in for like 2 days. If they are getting one in soon I'll be stopping by for sure. Maybe I'll get the pics first.

found this & thought it was interesting:

"Note to owners of BMW 5- and 6 Series cars: Drive with care. Even slight damage to the front of the car can be expensive. In some cases, insurers are declaring a lightly wrecked car a total loss. Why? Because the front end of the car -- built with high-tech aluminum, rivets and glue -- can be hard to repair, according to the Los Angeles Times. The front-end structure, which includes an aluminum firewall and body rails, weighs only 100 pounds. The minimal weight helps BMW achieve an ideal 50/50 fore-aft weight balance for better road handling. Because tolerances are so tight, if the front structure is bent by more than 1 millimeter in a crash, it must be replaced, not bent back to place, BMW says. The automaker recommends that repairmen be specially trained and use only BMW-certified tools and supplies, such as rivets. Experts say it can cost an independent repair shop as much as $100,000 for the training and special tools"

I remember reading that. Something about limited No# of BMW-certified repair facilities in the US. that can perform a repair to the Al front end.

wow. i had nooo idea. Vista in Ft. Lauderdale has AT LEAST 10 of them. I went there about a month ago, which i believe is when they first hit, and they had one on this big pedistal thing. incrediable. i went there two weeks ago and then had that one still, two more on the floor inside, and like 8 outside... and that wasnt even in their parking lot inventory, i gotta think they might have had one or two more floating around out there. AND like a month ago i saw this rinky two truck, towing a 1987 izuzu pick up truck like on the flat bad part, and it had a brand new m5 like hanging off the back, with the front wheels on the ground. i would htink the m5 woulda been the priority

No, not Otto's. Much further downstate in Delaware. A friend bought his X3 at Otto's though.

you buy it for $100,000 and 2 years from now it'll be worth $33,000. Not worth it at all...used to work at a dealership- some dude came in with a 2-3 year old m5. We gave him $33,000 and couldnt even sell it to anyone. So we ended up wholesaling it. I would get an M3 or M6!!

With 500-hp on tap, the M5 is one incredible machine, though I've never been too crazy about the not-so-conservative 5-series looks (esp. the headlights).

I work for flemington BMW in NJ. If anyone wants an M5 at list price not a penny over let me know. We never charge over list on ANY car. MSRP is good enough no reason to gouge good customers, if you do chances are they wont be back. If anyone is looking for a BMW in NJ, NY, or PA hit me up. Ive been selling BMW for 1.5 years. We have a brand new 64,000 sq ft facility that opened 3 weeks ago. We have over 100 cars in stock and 20 on the showroom floor. We have 80 cars inside the building also. If anyone needs anything let me know.

Thanx,
Ryan Guercio

The beast in Silverstone...I had the pleasure of test driving the Hartge M5 earlier in the year. My report with video clips if interested. The car is phenominal!
