There's still a clear market for a 500 dollar plastic lip that compliments the front without a bunch of carbon fiber and without covering up what's already there.

Is it so much to ask for this product that doesn't leave a gap in the front as well?

Have you not read the hordes of people on these forums swearing up and down, until they're black and blue that because you bought an $80k car, you should be willing to pay $2k for front lips, $7-10k for exhausts, $10k for wheels, etc etc?

Why would someone sell a $400 plastic lip at 60% net profit, when you can sell a carbon fibre lip branded from a "tuner" for 600% net profit to masses of Dan Bilzerian wannabes who own $80k cars and now act out like billionaires?

I know which option I'd be following if I were in the aftermarket car part business in the USA

I know certain colors and stickers add horsepower, but is there any performance advantage to adding these? Or is it strictly for looks?

You mean the air duct (gap) in the center between the lip and bumper? It's needed since our cars have a downward facing oil cooler. You don't want to interrupt that airflow, which is why the m performance lip has that gap too.

It adds a lot to the car, such as weight and aerodynamic drag. Very much doubt it works as a splitter as it's not closed at the top and they need to be quite low to be effective...not that posing requires downforce.

Where are you finding that price? Is that just for the lower portion? That's all I want.

95% of us just want the lower portion only, but unfortunately you have to use the splitters or there will be a gap.

How so? Wouldn't it just attach to the existing ducts?

I guess I'll just wait for someone to make one that works.

LOL. The 3D Design M4 rear spoiler is $1,200. Where do they get the idea of selling a carbon spoiler for 2.5x more than a factory M-perf part?

You mind posting pics of it installed? Once you get it installed?

I seen it by itself on IND for $400 something... Doesn't mention anything about it not working without the uppers.

The part underneath the air ducts... bottom of the bumper.

Let me put it this way, I paid $1,600 for the Bimmerworld front splitter for my E46 M3 and another $1,600 for the rear wing. What's the difference here? I paid for functional aerodynamic pieces, not cosmetic add-ons, and the cost to produce those pieces is far higher than anything for the F8X. I don't mind paying for quality, but I also don't like over-paying.
