Will new transmisison flashes allow for higher tq/hp capabilities in 2017?

With multiple vendors cracking the TCU and coding custom maps, will we see better hp/tq numbers for the automatic guys? Or will it just be different characteristics more than anything.

Depends. Nothing is set in stone, but judging by what the amg guys got a few years ago, yes it will help hold more power. Now it's not like it will hold a additional 200hp but more like up to 100hp. Also gotta realize, when increasing line pressure on the valve body, it makes it work harder. Same principle as turbos. The harder they work the faster they wear, so if you have 100k on your transmission now don't expect it to hold the same power levels as someone with 30k
