Dinan b58 flash tune
Just saw this on YouTube. It's funny how they use numbers from 100 octane which almost no one uses.
It's finally here...... Like months after I got my bm3. I have no regrets. How about you guys? |

At least they posted the 93 octane too. I guess there are a fair number of corn people chasing big HP numbers and probably some with access to 100 octane.
I'm good with the piggyback for the DD. I don't need monster HP/TQ to get groceries and run errands. edited - I just looked at the two different products (flash tune/Elite V2) and it looks like the piggyback delivers more power for pump gas. Am I not reading that correctly? Last edited by Throttlesteer14; 07-01-2020 at 12:57 PM.. |

And some gasoline stations – my local Sunoco had it when I lived in New Hampshire. Same here.

Going on Monday to my local Bmw dealership to see about getting the flash. Just don't want to be without the car for to long. Not sure about sending out the dme as far as turnaround.

the performance gains on this are sad at best. Not worth the money. Posting 100 Octane numbers because the rest of them look pathetic. Took how many years to be behind the market in flash tunes? |

I thought the whp/tq numbers were pretty solid. Dinan is never going to push the upper limits with peak power. I don't think that's what they're going after. |

Oh gross. Who chose the dumb ass music? It was even more annoying than the silly numbers.
Dinan I have a fucking headache because I listened to 5 seconds of that shitty chk-chk-chk-chk-chkkkkk A flash tune with such pathetic numbers; more than likely people will stick with piggybacks and the rest will default to BM3/MHD. Dinan will then bitch about not selling enough for the OGB58, and the tune will suspend in development hell. Perfect example of priming a product for failure: - late to the market - not competitive - shitty marketing (the music! The fucking music alone is enough to not buy from them!) |

Oh BimBim, c'mon. Cut the guys a little bit of slack; Not everyone is trying to max out their hp.
On a side note, yeah that music is pretty irritating. Sounds more like Honda tuner music than what I would expect from the Dinan crowd. Then again, maybe I'm just too old and cranky. |

Curious how they plan on offering multiple octane switching?
take it to the dealership every time you want to try another option? Might as well live there at that point, since you'll be back and fourth for multiple check engine lights the product inevitably causes |

Not all of us have had the unfortunate experience you have - I have put almost 52,000 miles on my car with the Stage 1 Elite v1 - I had a defective harness replaced under warranty in a timely manner. I haven't had other issues, yes BM3 / MHD make more power - but Dinan has never been about pure power.

I defended Dinan in another thread, where someone had a similarly poor experience. Then..lo and behold, I was on the receiving end of that experience. If you happened to catch the time period where they were still replacing harnesses (which sounds like the root cause...a connection that water gets into goes bad) then consider yourself lucky. The rest of us got a downgrade and stuck with a repair bill. |
