There are some carried over pieces here and there, but it does look better.

Well it is a Nissan after all so one must curtail their expectations somewhat as luxury interiors really aren't their thing.

I feel like with the dealer markups and pent up demand we will have to wait some time to get this car at MSRP.

Anyone who isn't a fanboi knows that price was never realistic. All the recent stories are pegging the starting MSRP at $45k.

I am thinking $40K, $45K sounds too high.

"a little aftermarket support" = car that looks more different from the Z proto than the Z proto looks from the 370z

The VR30 does have two different tunes, one can argue they will offer the base 300hp version, likely like the current base model with single piston brakes, smaller wheels, no LSD, and a 90s head unit, to hit that 35k or less base price.

The 400hp motor likely will go with the top trims, and will be closer to 45k+

God knows what they will do for the Nismo, if there is even going to be one.

The car's a symphony of parts from the Nissan's parts bin anyway

Since when do shitty econoboxes have full LCD gauge clusters, additional instrumentation gauge pods, automatic climate control, and sculpted sport seats? I must not be keeping up with the times.

$35k for a base model doesn't sound too crazy imo.

From the G37 coupe and Q60 the prices remained pretty much the same.

2013 G37 Coupe 2dr Journey RWD $40,400
2014 Q60 Coupe 2dr Auto Journey RWD $40,950

Just saying there will probably be an easy fix for all those complainting about the headligts and front bumper.

When was the last time you went shopping for a Z? After the 1st year / hype die down you can get them for a few grand off.

A few shots of the prototype I took today at C&C. Pretty unimpressive IMHO.

Looks good.

Not sure about the sound though. Didn't really hear much from the exhaust.
