That Time of the Year Again!
Not having owned a BMW for 10 years, i now have the new 330i G20 M Sport.
My question is, what is the best set up to drive in icy conditions? My last BMW 320d was a nightmare in icy conditions, and couldnt go up a hill on ice without wheel spin. |

Dedicated snow tires are the best, Such as Blizzak tires . If you are in a place where it does not snow much then you may get a way with all season tires. There several mentions on here about what snow or all season tires people use. I personally don't have to change tires, I live it doesn't snow

If you press the DTC button once quickly it goes into "traction mode" which is meant for snow/mud etc. Whether it's any good I've no idea...

I’m thinking no amount of traction control will compensate for inappropriate rubber in the snow and ice. Even four wheel drive cars with incorrect tyre compounds for snow are gash.
I’m based in Wilts too tricky6 and having driven BMW’s for the last fifteen years I just stay at home on the few snowy days we get. |
