Time from Halifax to West Coast?
Was tracking my cargo on the Mignon Vessel which just arrived in Halifax last night. Any ideas how long it will take to get to Vancouver by train?
I'm guessing 10-14 days? Thanks,

The key will be how fast the car is loaded onto a train. Typcially, cars can sit for a few days to a week. Sold cars are a priority and will be marked rush with a sticker on the windshield. Once it is on rolling stock. 6 to 7 days would be my guess based upon my past experience. Unloading at the receiver is also a crapshoot as it needs to pass through multiple hands to get to the dealer. Add 3 to 4 days at the receiver and you may be up to 3 weeks.

I was on the same ship and my dealer said the system says March 21st for them to get the car so 2 weeks for Toronto. She did put a Rush Delivery thru BMWCA, not sure if that means anything. I am hoping its quicker. Will let you know if I find out exactly how long even though I am in Toronto.

Did you get a delivery date from your dealer? I have no clue where my car is and her system said 21st for her to get it which means it will be 3 weeks from the time it got off the ship to get to me here in Toronto. This part sucks the most.

Just waiting patiently. I have a buddy though that works for CN. I might see if he can track the VIN and find out where my car is.

Customs clearance can take a week, then you wait for a spot on the train, then wait for the car transportation company to pick it up and deliver to the dealership.

Just got a heads up from my dealer that ETA to Vancouver is March 24th.
The boat landed in Halifax March 5th, and the car left Halifax on the train March 11th.

Here in Toronto my car reached the dealer yesterday and I am picking up Saturday. 2 weeks and 4 days from car being unloaded in Halifax to me picking it up.
