I get ring times set performance standards, and they let us know which car is faster. But should they really matter that much? Seriously think about it. Lets keep in mind these are professional drivers with decades of experience under their belt the average M4 GTS owner will most likely not come anywhere close to a 7:25 time let alone 7:35, etc. For me a ring time is impressive, and its something to be respected but lets not trash other vehicles as if we could easily hit the times the competitors to this vehicle claim.
I think the updates in this vehicle are truly amazing, but aesthetically no so much. Rims are not doing it justice, nor is that ridiculous spoiler. I get this is a "track" vehicle, but in the end of the day its still road legal and its not to easy on the eyes. My best guess in terms of price would be $100k base, and $135k fully loaded. These limited edition models usually have their options priced high because lets be frank anyone that can afford this won't mind shelling out a couple thousand for just 1 option. |

It isn't ? Judging from 90% of the comments on this car before today it seems to be the one and only purpose of this car
Sorry to pull your legs, I was being sarcastic I've been the one together with very few others defending the wing, the rims and telling people this thing will surprise you and that it's all about street legal performance. |

It will probably be around 150k usd. The base m4 starts at £57k in the uk which would translate to $84k usd, but this is not the case the M4 starts at $63k. So it won't be a straight conversion of the £120k price quoted for the GTS in autoexpress.

Auto Express say it starts more than twice the price of a standard M4 (£122k).
UK - standard M4 £57k, M4 GTS £122k US - standard M4 $65k, so 114% premium. Should start at $139k Expensive. In the UK it is another £22k more than a 991 GT3 (£100k). Basically with options it is 991 GT3 RS (£131K) money. |

approaching $150k seems like it'll have some really stiff competition from all over the place. this seems like an AWESOME car, but I wonder if there are enough people who will want this car over the Porsches, AMG GTSs, R8s, etc. I guess 300 shouldn't be hard to sell though, and the super limited production should help justify the exclusivity tax. I wonder if I can start turning my f80 into a GTS??

That's an insane accomplishment and a super talented driver because it means it's faster (or equal to) than ALL of these right here and only 1 sec behind the GT3 RS 4.0. Wow! just Wow.

Nice catch. Those are the standard M4 seats with unique alcantara upholstery and other touches. It's too bad we can't have the race seats, but these look great nevertheless.
Edit: on second look these are a lightweight version of the standard F8x seat. These might be another sought after item. Although you might as well go with the Euro seat at that point (if it can be snuck in). Quote:

What an insane car. I got excited after reading that it's coming to the States only to be slapped in the face with reality seconds later that there's no way I would be able to afford this, let alone a regular M4.
