Jeremy Clarkson reviews the new X1

Hi all,

Thought I would share this review: (spoiler warning this is less than complimentary)

http://www.driving.co.uk/car-reviews...-x1-xdrive25d/

Let's be honest he only likes real M BMW's and maybe the i8 !! Come on Jeremy we happen to live in the real world and want a BMW!!

Can't wait.. getting my new Glacier Silver X1 on Friday!!

I agree with him a little. As much as I like our X1, initially I was a little uinderwhelmed by the loan car we had and thought the interior was a little generic and un BMWlike. I felt I could have been sat in any modern small crossover.
Having said all that I remember when BMW's came with a propper tool kit and a torch in the glove box...

Interesting...I find the interior is spot on BMW's current design language. I've driven F30 loaner cars which were much more underwhelming. Any car in base spec is going to be, IMO.

Agree with M-Nick...Clarkson HATES crossovers!

Actually, many years ago, he quite liked the Skoda Yeti, I recall.

Clarkson is an idiot (Ive had the displeasure of dining next to him) and imp generally people like him for his comedy factor rather than how subjective his reviews are...

I cant "They’ve even fitted the gearlever surround with a shiny plastic that reflects everything you drive under. So when you go down a motorway you can see out of the corner of your eye the lampposts speeding by. After a few miles this will give you an epileptic fit."

Its tough to read these reviews from clarkson because you can see him speaking as he is writing...lol

Hopefully the "LCI" version will be better. Even though you can say that for many "1st generations"
