That also happens to me the Bass dies. Solution is easy but a pain. You need to stop the car engine etc... Wait for idrive system to close. Roughly 12-15 minutes. after that you are back to Bass pumping music.

Glad I'm not the only one... car is going in due to a rattle with the passenger rear speaker when music is playing and I am also going to mention the bass cutting out - assuming it must be some sort of software fault?

Curious if you have the Harmon Kardon system or the basic one?

Harmon kardon - had the car in at the dealership and they thought it was a software thing, so done some tweaking. I went back to collect and it still made the noise, so I got the tech outside to listen to it, he reckons it's either the speaker vibrating about or a loose bit of trim.

Booked back in for them to take it apart and look at it properly 🤷🏻*♂️

Will do! Just booked it back in next week for an exhaust clicking/rattle noise. They looked at it before but couldn't find anything, however I'm getting it checked out again before putting a Remus on

Hi again, I have done some search/questioning and there are some cases where amplifier replacing fixes the issue. Some say its due to long drive and amp heating up to point it needs to shut down. I really doubt that would be a good explanation.

In addition there is now a recall for the sunroof operation. Please check your local dealer for the software update on sunroof operations.

cheers

Just to update on this, the dealership have ordered 2 replacement mid/bass door speakers for the passenger and drivers rear doors due to the vibration/rattle. Still no answers on the bass cutting out completely.
