My apologies if this has been posted, but in the official press release for the 2009 7 series (released yesterday I believe), the new 740, which uses the twin-turbo 3 liter (our engine), produces 326 HP, and 332 lb-ft of torque. Could this possibly be an indication of things to come for the refresh??? That would definitely be a nice bonus to the mid-cycle changes........

i doubt it. in the past, there have been output differences from the same engine used in different BMW models.

Nice looking car and X6's V8 to boot.....probably too late with the price of fuel nowadays. Imagine we'll start to see the outrageous HP numbers start to plateau in the coming model years.

I thought that the 328 was going to be a 330?
If not I wonder if the 328 will get a jump in hp?

highly unlikely, especially since the 335i's are underrated at 300....I can maybe guess bumping the power up to like 240...or something similar, but unlikely until the chassis changes

No No...I meant model name change from 328i to 330i. If they don't change the name then I wondered if the 328i would get higher hp in 2009.

I said "thought"....guess I read it here that other's thought it could be possible, as things are always changing with BMW. But would guess it's probably not going to happen. Maybe next life cycle. I also could have sworn I read it on some BMW blog but can't exactly remember at the moment. Isn't mapezzul from Bimmerfile.com?
