I find it funny that the 2GC, X1 and X2 are all built on the UKL2 chassis. The UKL stands for Untere Klasse, or Lower Class.

I've said my piece on how I feel about this car. But ill put it another way. I hate the idea of it so much that if BMW were to give me one fully loaded with 50Gs in the boot I would still not drive it.

Maybe I'd take it and send it off a cliff. End its misery quickly.

I think the A class equivalent looks much better and that is saying something!

No doubt Adrian V.H will come out and say that it's great that everyone is talking about the design of the car like its a good thing!

That's is exactly why it's the "wrong setup".
They don't want you to get out of your 335, they're trying to get new customers from other brands.
Your comments simply prove they were right.

Exactly. Thus car is not for people who already own a BMW. It is to steal customers from buying the CLA and A3/S3, which I see dozens of every day.

I does annoy me that the M235 has the same 0-60 as my 135i did when it was stock.

although not popular from what it seems on the forum I would be interested to see how sales do to the regular population, I would think decent to well. We will see.

I expect these will be littering high school parking lots after a few years and depreciation crushes them

I feel it needs to be a flop if BMW is to wake up to what they are churning out these days.

No issues with this car whatsoever. Is it for me? No. But I don't feel like every car BMW releases has to be intended for me or enthusiasts. As long as they have at least one car for me that all that matters.

If Audi and Mercedes is making money, why can't BMW?

2-Series Active Tourer takes the cake for that.

While it's not the right car for me, I think it will sell well. I have 2 female coworkers that drive CLAs and they both said they'd consider this when their lease expires.

Well they weren't quite right were they? I don't buy new cars I think you're a bit of a clown to pay full MSRP for a car that will depreciate half it's value in 3 years. That being said, I would be in the market to hop out into a 2er in the CPO department. But as stated earlier, no shot in hell I'd drive this thing. And as I've also stated in other posts, the G20 doesn't exactly excite me to move into that either.

AWD auto only is not exactly encouraging RWD 6MT owners to move into their newer cars.

Except being ugly (ok not all of them), why do all new BMWs have the catalytic converter hanging so low? It looks like an actual diaper!

I cant wait for Carwow's review of the new 4 series:
"Should you consider it, shortlist it, or go right ahead and buy it?
Well i reckon you should kill with fire before it lays eggs."

They only own a CLA because it is affordable and has that badge. Face it, they would buy a Camry if it had a Mercedes or BMW badge on it.
