Instrument Panel Display

When you change driving modes isn't the instrument cluster supposed to change colors? The top picture is when I am in comfort mode. When I change to sport or Eco there is no color change as depicted in the second photo. Is there some setting I am missing? Thanks.

Yes, Unfortunately with the M display rather than the standard one (assuming you coded that in) with colour change with different modes doesn't apply. I have currently not found a way to fix it. (if there even is a way to do so)

which is why after I realised I coded back to the standard display which changed. its the same reason you can't the tacho on the HUD, but you can with the normal display setup.

Thanks. I never would have figured that out. I did code the M display..I did the same coding with my 2019 x3 that has Idrive 6.0 with no problems regarding the instrument cluster change. I wonder if it is different with Idrive 7.0. Did you use the BimmerCode app? Maybe I will reach out to BimmerCode and see what they have to say.

So I recoded and got back the instrument panel changes with each driving mode. I believe I used to have an M235 logo where the M logo was in the first picture but now nothing is there. Did you have a similar issue? I was thinking whether or not the recent software update caused the issue. I am on update 7/2020.54. The logo I was referring to is pictured below on another car.

It is to do with the new update. just recode that bit and it will be fine. I had just the M previously then with the recent OTA it reverted back to M235i and I think I prefer it.

I got the M235i logo back by doing a backup restore on the Bimmercode App.
