Just sharing simple video of the install - A mate and I researched for months and there were lots of questions - we talked each other out of it and then in to purchasing it. His is yet to arrive from Austria. But this video should provide a summary idea of the install process.

Overall I'm loving it.

Post install:
- fine adjustment of the tips
- thinking about flap control module

Shout out to:
- Darren for his detective and counselling work
- Julian and his team at mettams mufflers Perth

Awesome! I'm in QLD awaiting arrival of my new m2 in a few weeks. I've been tossing up which exhaust to get. I don't like that the MPE requires cutting of the original exhaust and I've heard it can drone. the akra sounds good on videos but haven't heard it in person and it is very expensive. the remus is still in the running. I want something that isn't too loud but still sounds good with no drone. how are you liking it so far?

Sounds awesome! What kind of downpipes Remus uses? Catless or sport?

Enjoy it!

You're going to love the M2!

Akra was beyond our comfort budget.... we were between the MPE and Remus.

We were reading more issues about MPE than Remus.....

After much research, we were happy with the Remus quality, there is no visible muffler at the rear - it's tucked, twin pipe from cat onwards, valves daisy chain from current EVC - controller is optional, and we liked the sound clips.

There is a very slight highway drone somewhere between 1850 - 1880 rpm in 7th gear - just about 96ish km/h. But is unnoticeable and short. This is when you're in comfort mode.

I think a piggybacked valve controller or some sort would shut the valve as and when required. Reason being the stock valve logic doesn't seem to shut the valve in comfort mode till 3rd gear pass 1800 rpm or something like that. Hence comfort is a little louder that preferred... but still ok just that I like comfort to be tamed like stock and sport mode to be loud as.

Cold start is like 3 times louder than stock.. is nice but might just make some feel uncomfortable..

The turbos spooling is a lot more distinct as well.

MDM pop corn mode is now like massively large popcorns..

Overall no regrets. I am loving it.

I hope this helps in you and everyone in decision making.

The stock cats are still there - It's a cat back straight through to a valve controlled (what seems like a) helmholtz resonator.

I would like a 200 cel cat which I think would take the note to the next level. But I think it's going to be too loud for me.

Thanks so much for the informative reply! I cannot wait for my car to arrive it has been a very painful wait!

good to know about your decision. I think I will stay with stock exhaust for a little while until I can potentially hear them in the flesh. I'm also considering eisenmann as I love the look of the carbon tips on it (very similar to now carbon tips) plus it does not seem way too loud and crazy.

Glad to hear you are happy with it and thanks for posting the video to help us all out!

Cheers.

Thanks mate - very much appreciated.

Selecting an exhaust system seems to be a very complex matter lol. Somewhat like buying a box of chocolates..
