Yep, like I said, no rear seats. I did update my post to clarify that point - maybe you had already started replying before that.

It will certainly have more presence than the current 1 series but I don't think they look too big.
But I will reserve final judgement until I see more pictures and from a little distance, not just a closeup.

The X1 is considerably taller and more SUV-like than the X2, to be fair.

Looks promising but shame about engine. Will be a downgrade from M140i and that's a big issue

I like it! (Even though I don't get why the M135i and M340i grills have this look).

Probably because it's (still) a photoshopped X2.

Looks like a lexus Ct200. What's wrong with BMW? Some design parts looks like coming from lexus cars.

Also what about this idiotic big ugly grills. For example grill size of the new 7 series, it's just ugly and hideous. I don't like this new styling

Maybe it's photoshop (and it is) but looks almost the same as new Series 1 not the X2. Look better design elements of X2

Because the 2 L engine is the same of the X2 35i. The 140 maybe next year or directly an M1.

Because FWD.

Can't fit bigger than a 4 banger in there, unless they move the right side front tire two feet to the left.

I feel like people aren't quite grasping that this is a UKL2 car, just like the current Minis and X1/X2. Transverse motor, and transmission.
So it's FWD... and that makes it a Mini... Really?? It's BMW's version of a Golf/Focus/A Class etc... and why not! First drive impressions are apparently very good and if they go down the same route as with the new 3 this should be a real good car! Yes FWD cars can be great to drive!!

Sure, but all things being the same, RWD is better. It's the reason why most of us on this forum bought their respective bmws. Plus mini competes against those cars(golf, focus), whereas BMW sort of doesn't.
