Any big concerns on current gen x3?

Hello,
With all the discounts folks are getting with X3s. Can I ask if there's anything buyer beware I should know about before I decide to pull the trigger?

Looking at the 20 m40i specifically

Just wanted an idea in case there's something I'm missing long term. Thanks

I don't think there's anything at all that's been systemic. A bunch of us were mad about 3D View not working but that was fixed with a November 19 iDrive update, and a few people have complained about a rattling sunroof, but it's not widespread. Take a look thru a few pages of thread titles, but I don't think you'll find anything to worry about. My MY20 X4 M40i has been bulletproof since I got it in September. This is obviously an enthusiast's forum, but even so, I think that just about all of us are blown away by the M40i.

The 2018 model had a lot more issues, being the first year of the new design. However the 2019 models are great (I have a '19 M40i). Haven't heard of any major issues with the '20 - except the '20 will feature a quieter exhaust, and you get a "Exhaust Sound" button in iDrive to control Active Sound somewhat.

Totally, but enthusiast are who to ask bc you will notice all the little things! I appreciated everyone taking the time. I'm trying to figure out if I should go with the 20 m40i well equipped or a 20 SQ5 well equipped. The bmw incentives are blowing Audi out as far as pricing but that just means my residual value just getting lit on fire. My area BMW is offering a well equipped m40i $66,500 MSRP with -8900 in discounts and incentives. Seems like a good deal?

The biggest thing I know people were mad at is the 20' doesn't have the burble and pop that the 18 and 19 did. Otherwise I think you'll be quite happy! Love my 19' and fully expect to upgrade after the first model year of the next refresh...

I should note, if you drive the SQ5 you quickly find it's worlds apart. It's just no where near the caliber of drive of the BMW. I wanted to like it, drove one many times. But... Yea.

The deal sounds on par with normal. Nothing special, but good.

I looked at everything in the class before I purchased my X4. The Audi is nice, but honestly, there wasn't one aspect of the Audi that I preferred over the BMW except a slightly better execution of the digital dash. And like you're finding, the BMW was less expensive. It's always nice when it works out like that!

And this is a much better forum than the Audi forum!
