Update.....earliest dyno opening is the 28th so will have to wait to see actual gains.
Along with obvious power gains I noticed a increased spool sound in the mid range (sounds awesome) and at wot it appears to shift slower than previous. Everything else remained like stock. |

This may have already been asked, but how does the Active-8 respond to other modifications? Nothing heavy -- air filter, exhaust, high-flow cat -- things of that nature.
Thank you |

My car had a bms filter on it when the AA tune was installed. That's how I noticed the increase in spool noise. The car drives fantastic!!!! I was told by David at AA that adding a catless dp is no problem I just would have to solve the CEL issue myself (which is no problem at all). There is some shift delay under wot but it's not an issue. The mid range power is awesome!!! The comfort mode has way more power and shifts like butta which is what I wanted. The sport+ mode is just insane for a daily. Just worried about the salt eating away at the downpipe so I might hold off till next season.

REVIEW:
INSTALL Took me about 25 min total. Straight forward, just follow the directions.. http://images.activeautowerke.com/In...%20a%20B58.pdf I'll post some pics here later. DRIVABILITY In short - very satisfied. NOTE: First time took for a spin didn't feel much driving 10-15min in 40mph zone. After shopping on the way back I thought Im driving AWD M3 The car definitely pulls much harder and passes other vehicles much more effortlessly. 3rd gear is sick in sport mode when you get on it, not necessarily going WOT. The gain across the powerband (as I feel) should have come from the factory. This is certainly in stock F80 M3 territory and the additional power is worth every penny. It has been 3 days now and enjoying every time!!

Is this by any chance also compatible with the 430i engines like the JB4? If not, do you have plans on developing the A8 module for the 430i engine? Any difference in the US B46 and EU B48 430i? |

We are actively looking for a local 430i or 330i to do testing on. Our Active-8 is compatible but I don't yet have a map for that engine.
