Missing Tool?

I was checking out my car this weekend and noticed that my in-trunk toolkit had an empty spot. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Collin

I'm not sure (just a guess), but it might be for the optional locking wheel nut key.

Hey Collin, I don't even have any of the tools shown on your pictures. Is this ED car or regular car for US? Are toolkits specific to particular packages / 325 or 330 and should I be asking for it from my dealer? (LA. mine is 325i no sport package)

I believe all e90's have a toolkit standard. The extra slot is for the wheel lock which is not standard.

You probably have a toolkit. It isn't obvious, though the dealer should have pointed it out. It's on the right hand side of the trunk under a lift away panel. Its actually part of the battery cover. Check out your user's manual. It explains it better than I can.

That's definatelythe space for the locking wheel nut key - we get that as standard in the UK with our alloy wheels. The bendy shape above that is for the allen key thing to manually close the sunroof should the electrics fail.

Whoops - just looked at your picture again, and you already have the bent allen key.

I took the photos with my mobile. The picture quality is so lousy that I'm not surprised you missed it at first glance. I wanted to break out the Canon, but the battery wasn't charged.

Thanks for the responses guys; it looks like we're not missing anything here. Perhaps this should be on the pickup checklist for things you don't get.

So shifting gears a bit, what's the large eyelet with the threaded base thing on the right hand side of the toolkit for?

It's a towing eye. It screws into a captive nut which is revealed when you remove the little square panel on the back bumper.

Usually you can also put it somewhere at the front, so you can be towed - but I haven't seen anywhere to put it on the front! Ideas anyone??

Yes, I thought I was missing a tool too, but when I bought the wheel locks, I realized the "key" fits perfectly in the empty spot.

Since the car comes standard with run flats, is there a car jack included in the tools? Thanks.
