A few weeks ago I took delivery on a new G20 330e in my absolute favorite color Mineral Grey (https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1819193)

After summer its time to swap wife's (no, not her, but her car) 118i Msport (2018) into a 218 MSport, in the same Mineral Grey. really looking forward to have the two cars in the same color standing side by side in the carport... But today my dealer calls me saying Mineral Grey is taken out of production, and that the new grey is "Skyscraper Grey". A bit lighter, but a nice color... BUT it will not be two cars in the same color...
On the other hand - her 218 Msport in Skyscraper grey will be standing out even more now... so maybe not a bad thing after all...

I guess this will mean I will be having one of the very first F44's in the new Grey color delivered... I'll come back with pictures when I get it - probably in September some time... and with comparison with my 330e in Mineralgrey by its side...

The dealer put on their own expense a black diamond grille for our car as a compensation for the colour-situation... Feels good!

And to be honest... Im really now looking forward to get my new 218i Msport GC delivered... Another dealer in another part of the country have one listed now, Skyscraper grey, and with the same wheels I selected... Looking good, or what do you say?

Good to see the first pictures of the Skyscraper Grey on F44. I ordered my 220i a couple months ago in black, as from the M3 and M4 shots with the color I thought it's too light for 2 series. For me, after seeing the pics, I'm glad I went with black as I don't like Skyscraper Grey so much on the F44, for me it's indeed too light for the model. Out of the greys, I think Mineral Grey was a better match for the model.

Hmm, actually with 19s and the 5-spoke 18s the Skyscraper Grey looks a bit better;

This color looks absolutely great buddy - I would go for it in a heartbeat if it was available to me

One thing I like with the lighter grey compared to the mineral grey, is that the M-package trims on sides and back gets more attention to the eye... I like that a lot...

I ordered my 218 MSport in Skyscraper Grey without seeing the colour! Now I see it I'm glad I decided on that colour choice. And the handover date is now the Fourth of October

I’ve seen a decent amount of skyscraper grey 228i and m235i cars. They look so good!! I’d recommend the black grille for the m package though. The chrome/silver looks a little.. eh. Taking delivery of mine some time in October.

The dealer has promised me to change the original for the mesh black grille... Do I need to say I'm looking forward to it? Maybe more than the wife actually...

Lucky you!! Now if only I can get my dealer to do that for me.. I’ll try!! Please post pics of the front when you change the grill, it would be most appreciated! Enjoy the car

This is not meant as a criticism to you but has anybody taken delivery of a car and not liked the color?

Not me, I make sure I have seen my choice(s) under different lighting conditions first..

I was only saying about the colour as it's new to the 2 series and as I had not seen the colour in real life. I was giving my opinion to other people on the site that might be worried about there colour choice
