Pre lci to lci paddle shifters help!?

I just changed out my sport wheel to a msport steering wheel. It's awesome!! I followed one of the members guide on here to get my lci shifters to work on my non lci car. I took both resistors out and shorted the one with a non center resistor. It did not work. Did I do something wrong? Does anyone know how to get it to work? I really wanna get this fix but have no clue what to do. Please help it you can.

Did you rewire the connectors?

Pre-LCI paddles have three wires because they have up and down capability on each shifter. LCI have only one function per side so only two wires are needed. Move the LCI wires as described above and it will work, assuming the resistors have been correctly re-worked.

I followed this thread here to remove the resistor and short one which was the direction to get the lci to work with pre lci.

We're talking about that little Connector you plug into the MFB. Here is a diagram I made for a member a while back, although I think I got the connections wrong. So look at the pic to understand what you need to do but refer back to the diagram earlier to know the correct order of where the wires need to go.
