Photorealistic maps on 2010 iDrive ?!?!?!

See this picture of the new X1's iDrive. Note the 3D perspective view - clearly a photomap is overlayed onto the terrain.

Has there been any announcement of this feature?

I have a 2009 E90, and I'm really interested to know if this is a feature that will be added to our models with a future update.

This feature is off by default, check the menu, may be you can activate it on 3er as well. And it displays sat imagery only with 2km zoom and less.

That is not the 3D view. That is a sat image ans is not available on US cars. 3D view is though.

I wonder if this was available on Euro 2009 E90's. I had never heard of this feature at all when the new iDrive was being introduced....

The Satalite image is not available in my 2009 manufactored E91. The 3D Perspective view is available.

Hope this is a "simple" software upgrades for us with the 2009 LCI models!

We should keep our eyes out and see if this appears as a feature on the 2010 3er....
