Went for Titanium Silver - On order and coming in next week.
My 96 is Blue and my wifes RX330 (family hauler) is sterling grey. IMHO, the grey looked good ("it's the new silver" said the BMW salesman). Black - I had a black Miata and had to be washed every week. I don't have the time anymore with the baby around. |

Hey, Titanium Silver takes over second place. That's cool. Silver was one of my preferred colors. One year ago, it would have been my first choice, but I love the Audi Dolphin Gray and the SG is the closest BMW equivalent.

i know sapphire black isnt "true" black as you jet black enthusiasts believe, but sapph has its own unique looks esp under the sunlight, ppl who chose this color will definitely not regret it.

What's everyone's take on Monaco Blue? It's quite the chameleon colour. From far away, it appears black, but up close, u can tell it's blue. Right now, I don't kno whether to get Black or Blue. Perhaps Monaco Blue is a good compromise?

Either way, you can't go wrong. However, based on the polls, Monaco Blue will definitely be more rare and unique than either blacks (which possibly could be more eye-catching and would turn more heads). |

i think that arctic is a beautiful colour as it changes colour depending on what angle the sun is shining on the car

I see lots of medium blues, maroons and dark greens around on other cars of all sorts from budget to luxury makes and models; these colours seem to be very popular these days. I think when September production arrives in dealer showrooms and people can see what they actually look like, more orders will probably be placed for BMW's in Mystic, Barrique and Deep Green, although not as many as in the non-colours between white and black.

Black Sapphire / Terra for me. FYI, a couple of months ago I was planning on Sparkling Graphite. Then I got to see one in person. In cloudy light it was OK, but when I saw it in strong sunlight that convinced me not to get it.

Blue is my fav, BUT the Monaco and Mystic just dont cut it, . Monaco only looks good when the lighting is perfect, otherwise it looks like a dull off-black. And after owning a Topaz e46, Mystic just looks flat and off-tint. Personally the only worthwhile blues are/were: Topaz, Interlagos, and Alpina's Alpine Blue (shown in the header at top). ...but thats just me.

I probably would have gotten sparkling graphite if my last car weren't already almost the same exact color. My TSX is called "Carbon Gray" and although the BMW paint job is nicer, I actually like the Carbon Gray color better than SG because it looks blue sometimes (better IMO than the occasional purple hue emitted from SG). At twilight especially I have picked up people to go out and they've asked me "uhm what color is this car--blue or gray?"

Honda used to have this excellent colour called Cyclone Blue which was a dark silvery blue colour like looking at a stormy sky - hence the name I guess . BMW had the same on the E36 and I think the earlier E46 cars. I wish they still had it because it was a complex colour and would suit the E90 (it didn't look good on the E46, probably why it got dropped). Arctic is a similar concept but too light IMO.
I would have got Sparking Black, but the upkeep would be a nightmare, especially because I drive my car up to my farm a fair bit. SG seemed like a good compromise for me.
