Here is a video of my iphone streaming Pandora over M3
Just a demo video where I used my iphone to stream internet radio (Pandora.app) through my car. Sounds amazingly good. Higher bitrate than Sirius (what isn't - sirius pushes less than 56k)
Anyway even though at&t coverage is horrible in my area and I drop 20 calls a day, I was able to stream music without a hiccup because Pandora buffers forward about 30 seconds. I use a hack(jailbreak) app called backgrounder to background pandora and return to the main screen. No I wasn't speeding. I drive for a few minutes to demonstrate that the feed is coming over at&t's network. Also, I used the headphone jack because the minute you plug in the USB data cable it thinks you want to play your internally stored music and turns your iphone into an ipod and silences Pandora. Thanks for watching. Last edited by ericld; 10-03-2009 at 04:56 PM.. |

Nice indeed, as I love Pandora. But, let me get this straight--you simply plug it in to the ear-phone jack, start Pandora, and it plays music? I don't have the basic ear-phone cable to try it out at the moment, but I'm assuming when you plug it in that way, it goes to "aux mode."
I've been using a regular iPod in my car hooked up with the provided BMW cable for full integration.

AT&T is horrible everywhere. Its my biggest complaint with the iphone. The network absolutely blows especially after you have tried any other network...... |

I can't remember when I last had a dropped call on AT&T on iPhone in my locale. I also have a work-supplied Verizon Blackberry, and they are absolutely equal in terms of service quality.

What I want to see is someone streaming pandora to their car through Bluetooth! I know some cars can do it, but I dont think BMW's can...
